Shahla moved to the UK from Iraq in 2008, facing the challenges of learning a new language and adapting to a new culture. Her determination and resilience were evident from the start, as she embraced every opportunity to grow and learn. Her hard work paid off when she graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2022 with a degree in Accounting and Finance.

Recently, Shahla was invited back to her university to share her experiences since graduating, inspiring the current graduates with her story. She spoke about the importance of perseverance, the value of continuous learning, and the rewards of staying committed to your goals.

Shahla's professional journey began at Link Controls, where she started as an Assistant Accountant. Her dedication quickly earned her recognition, leading to a promotion to Head of Finance before the company's transition to Marantec UK. Her exceptional performance and leadership skills then led to her current role as Financial Director.
